August 28-29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina devistates the Gulf Coast with 175mph winds and flooding. One of the worst disasters in U.S. history. $81 billion in damage.
Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 MHCC Team: travel, sightseeing, and the Waveland Christian Life Center.
Monday, Dec. 3 We get started with repairs, spackling, and sanding.
Tuesday, Dec. 4 We start painting and meet some kids from the Longo family.
Wednesday, Dec. 5 More spackling, painting, and repairs.
Interlude Tour of Waveland, devastation, FEMA trailers, rebuilding.
Thursday, Dec. 6 Painting in earnest, and geting strated with colorful rooms.
Friday, Dec. 7 Wrap up the painting, clean up, and visit the beach.
